What does your company do?

We provide installation and service support to manufacturers  and distributors involved in the supply platform lifts, home lifts, stairlifts, ceiling hoists and door access equipment. We also offer a range of other  services such as site survey and inspection, product removal, holiday cover and writing of technical documentation.

Where are you based?

We are based in Southampton, Hampshire on the south coast of the United Kingdom.

What areas do you cover?

The area we cover is south of an imaginary line drawn through Leicester. We travel further afield as the project requires.

Do you travel overseas?

Yes. We currently work with a company in Belgium which involves spending time in both Belgium and the Netherlands. We strongly believe that we exist in a global market place and will not limit ourselves to doing business within the UK only. Please contact us if you have any requirements outside the UK.

Do you offer free quotations?

Yes. We offer a free quotation subject to the site being completed as specified in the relevant drawings and our published site ready definition. All our customers have an individual price list so they have a good idea of costs as they themselves enter into a project.

Are your vehicles sign written?

No. Freedom Installation and Service operates with plain white vehicles so that we may remain neutral and therefore better represent our customers. Our engineers also wear matching, navy blue uniforms which are discarded and new supplied once we determine that they are beginning to look untidy.

Is the completed installation safe?

Yes. The products we install are fully compliant to their relevant British Standards. We will only install products once we have been fully trained. Your clients safety is of paramount importance. Our engineers operate in a safe manner and Personal Protective Equipment is carried by each individual engineer. All our engineers are health and safety/ manual handling trained.

Do you carry identity cards?

Yes. All our engineers carry their identity on the vehicle at all times. We fully appreciate that we may be working with vulnerable members of the community. All our engineers have passed CRB checks within the last couple of years

Do you supply test certificates and other documentation for your installations?

Yes. We issue a full, comprehensive documentation pack to you on completion of an installation. This usually includes a test certificate relevant to the British Standard to which the product was built and installed, engineers report and handover certificate signed by the end user or site representative.

Do you carry CSCS cards to work on building sites?

Yes. All our engineers carry CSCS cards

What happens if you are delayed getting to an installation or service?

If we are delayed for any reason, such as heavy traffic, we will contact the client from the vehicle in the first instance. No customer should ever have to wait around after the appointment time wondering what time an engineer will arrive.

How long does an installation take?

The smaller products such as door openers, stairlifts and hoists are normally installed in around half day. The larger products such as home lifts and platform lifts are normally installed inside one day although site conditions may take the installation into the second day.

All our installations and services are quoted per job and not on time taken.
